Former heavyweight boxer David Haye recently announced his retirement from the sport but has hinted that his time and energy will be put on a new venture, taking his career trajectory on a different direction.

He claimed despite not competing inside the ring, it would ‘not be the end’ as he is yet to offer his fans something more in the future.

The two-weight world champion has, however, given his take on beleaguered star Tyson Fury, who returned to the boxing scene last weekend, overcoming a relatively easy opponent in Sefer Seferi.

Fury looked at ease against the Albanian power puncher right from the start with many stating it was a mismatch of sorts for the Manchester heavyweight's comeback bout. Seferi pulled himself out after four rounds, handing Fury the 26th win of his pro career.

The Gypsy King is now scheduled to fight again on August 18, having been added onto the Carl Frampton-headlined bill in Belfast.

Fury and Frank Warren have both stated that in order to reclaim his glory days, he needs more rounds under his belt before coming up against the elite of the heavyweight division.

The 29-year-old has been insistent he will become a more complete fighter than he was when he was two-and-a-half years ago.

Tony Bellew has been one of those touted as a possible opponent for the returning Fury over the next few months.

Although Haye admits he would like to see two of his former rivals lock horns, he isn't sure Fury will able to reach the same heights as 2015.

The Hayemaker told  The Sun:: “I would like to see Bellew in there with Fury, I think that would be a great fight.

“Bellew has proved his credentials at heavyweight by beating me twice when no-one really gave him a shot.

“I don’t believe Fury is the man of old.”

“I believe the Tyson Fury that beat Wladimir Klitschko would handle Bellew pretty easily but I’m not sure that guy will ever be seen again.”
