When talking about returns, the two names that have been doing the rounds the most recently are Rey Mysterio and, surprisingly, James Ellsworth.

Sources have claimed that although Mysterio recently appeared for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the Dominion 6.9 event, he's going to complete his summer commitments before possibly making his return to WWE.

COMEBACK

According to sources, it's expected that Mysterio will be back in Vince McMahon's company in either September or October as the company still want him back.

Most recently, though, Ellsworth has emerged as a name that is set to return - and it could be as early as tonight at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

With the chinless superstar dropping out of a China show, it's thought that he's going to help Carmella retain the SmackDown Women's Championship against Asuka. However, it's another superstar that has been spotted at the Performance Center which has ignited rumours that he's set to return to action soon.

According to PW Insider, Dean Ambrose has been hanging around the Performance Center in Orlando recently. However, the source has added that it isn't clear exactly what he's doing there as he could be taking bumps in the ring, he might be doing some physical therapy or anything else for that matter.

Either way, this is a fantastic sign for his WWE return.

THE LUNATIC FRINGE

Around WrestleMania 34, it was speculated that The Lunatic Fringe had suffered a setback which is why he moved to Birmingham, Alabama to step up his rehabilitation.

With the former Shield member now in Orlando, it suggests that an Ambrose return is on the horizon as this is a step in the right direction.

Fans were hopeful that Ambrose would be back in time for SummerSlam. However, the timetable of his recovery has suggested that he's going to be back on television in late August or early September - but it does seem likely that WWE won't rush his return until they're confident he's good to go rather than taking an unnecessary risk.

Plans seem to have already been revealed for him, too. It was initially thought that before his injury, he would be turning on Seth Rollins to take him on at the Grandest Stage of Them All before that idea was supposedly changed.

Now, though, it's thought that backstage officials are lobbying for Ambrose to return as a heel and want him in the Universal Championship picture upon his return.
