There's one superfight on the mind of mixed martial arts (MMA) fans right now, and that's a heavyweight fight between Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar.

Jones hasn't competed inside the cage since winning the UFC light heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 last year. Bones knocked out DC in the third round to recapture the title he never lost.

Shortly afterwards he got on the mic and called out former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar for a superfight that MMA fans have been discussing for the past several months.

Lesnar won the heavyweight championship from Randy Couture several years ago before dropping it to a young Cain Velasquez shortly thereafter.

The First Return

He returned several years later in the co-main event of the UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) when he took on Mark Hunt. Lesnar won that fight via unanimous decision but shortly had that win overturned when it was revealed he failed a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) test.

Now rumors have begun to heat up regarding a possible superfight between Lesnar and Jones. Lesnar is rumored to be considering a full-time return to MMA.

Currently Lesnar is the Universal Champion over in WWE. He's expected to drop that title at the SummerSlam PPV event later this summer. He's also in negotiations to make an appearance at UFC 226.

The main event of that show is a UFC heavyweight match-up between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier. If Lesnar doesn't fight Jones next, he could very well challenge the winner of that fight instead.

Before Jones can come back to fight, however, he has some issues with USADA that he has to settle. Jones tested positive for a banned substance after his win over Cormier at UFC 214.

The Odds

That hasn't stopped oddsmakers from releasing odds on the possible superfight. It seems like Jones is the favorite if he were to share the Octagon with Lesnar (via Bovada):

Jon Jones: -350 (2/7)
Brock Lesnar: +260 (13/5)

This would certainly be one of the most interesting stylistic match-ups the Octagon has ever seen. Jones is a massive human being with freakish striking pedigree and an unorthodox style.

Lesnar is one of the most freakishly athletic specimens in sports history and is a tremendous wrestler. If he could get Jones to the ground, things could get interesting.
