The dust has barely settled on the 2017-18 NBA season, but that doesn't mean that Toronto Raptors global ambassador, Drake, is ready for the offseason just yet. He gets special on-court privileges as part of his prominent role with the club, including the ability to work on his own basketball game. Evidently, the rap star has been training hard on the team's practice court. Take a look at this ridiculous trick shot he made Saturday:

Drake's game has come a long way since 2014, when he hilariously launched an airball while warming up with one of the top college basketball teams in the United States, the Kentucky Wildcats. He shockingly looked extremely uncomfortable in the spotlight, which is rare for the three-time Grammy Award winner.

Drake has become a mainstay on the sidelines at Raptors game, helping raise the profile of the only Canadian team in the NBA. His passion and love for the city of Toronto is truly unique, and only equals his obsession with the game of basketball. He's the team's biggest fan, and can often be seen trash talking the opposition's top players.

With high expectations entering the playoffs as the Eastern Conference's top seed, the Raptors were widely regarded as the team to challenge the dominance of the Golden State Warriors. After a hard-fought series in the opening round of the playoffs against the Washington Wizards, Toronto was stopped dead in its tracks by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round.

Drake had several fiery exchanges with Wizards point guard, John Wall, in the opening round. And his emotions intensified in the next series with the Cavaliers, when he got into a shouting match with Kendrick Perkins. The incident blew up on social media, and even prompted a warning from the NBA for using bad language.

Toronto's failure to advance to the conference finals resulted in head coach Dwayne Casey losing his job. Casey always encouraged Drake's participation on the sidelines, and he never shunned him from interacting with players during games. It will be interesting to see if Nick Nurse, who has been promoted from assistant to head coach, shares the same sentiment next season.

Drake was appointed as the team's global ambassador in September, 2013.
