It's hard to argue that the pairing of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram last season wasn't the best running back team in the league.

This season, however, Tennessee Titans' newly acquired tailback Dion Lewis is looking to take that crown alongside Derrick Henry. Lewis signed a four year deal worth $20 million. He was signed as the replacement to the recently cut DeMarco Murray.

Lewis' last season was with the New England Patriots and he racked up 1,110 total yards and 10 total touchdowns. He proved to be quite the commodity in both the rushing and passing game.

Next season he'll find himself battling it out in the AFC South in Tennessee against division rivals the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Texans are looking strong after having rookie quarterback sensation Deshaun Watson return from injury to return to his signal calling duties. The Colts hope to get Andrew Luck back under center after his struggles with injuries.

And the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to get back into the playoffs after a season that saw them leap expectations with their stout defense.

Despite the competition, Lewis seems confident that he and Henry will be able to put in some major work rushing on the gridiron and become the league's best rushing duo of the year (quotes via NFL.com):

"We both know we're two good backs. We're pushing each other every day. We feel like we can be two of the best running backs in the league," Lewis said, via ESPN's Cameron Wolfe.

"We feel like we can be the best duo in the league."

"We can help each other. We can both eat. We have a lot of confidence in our abilities," Lewis said.

"And we both feel like we have something to prove. When I'm playing hungry and want to prove myself, that's when I'm at my best."

Lewis and Henry certainly have the talent to make strides this season, and with the competition in the AFC South things will certainly be interesting to watch.
