Lampard's reaction

An entire nation erupted when Kane scored the winner and with four former England internationals in the BBC studio, it was always going to be fun to see how they reacted.

Gary Lineker was the host and he was joined by Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Alan Shearer.

All four could have been forgiven for jumping for joy after Kane sealed the win - it was an incredibly dramatic moment, after all.

But only Lineker got to his feet - and Lampard started taking notes.

Yep, you’ve heard that right. Lampard allowed himself a little yelp before jotting something down on his notepad.

Guess the football manager.

To be fair to Lampard, he was about to deliver an expert analysis on England’s performance against Tunisia.

The former Chelsea and England manager reserved special praise for Kane, labelling him a “superstar”.

“There were great signs in that first half - all the energy, all the movement, all the football that we've been crying out for England teams to play, to move the ball crisply and entertain us,” Lampard said.

“The first game is one to win and that man there (Kane), he's a superstar and that's why we talk about these superstars, because they turn up in the right place at the right moment, and he scores goals.

"It was a great header, a twist of the head at the last minute to sell the goalkeeper.”

What Lampard would give for a player like Kane at Derby County.
