For the first time in a while, Monday Night RAW was actually viewed by many WWE fans as a very exciting show this week.

There was plenty of action packed in just 24 hours after Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which will also go down as one of the best shows of the year.

THE BEST RAW ACTION

Last night's events were kicked off by Alexa Bliss and Kurt Angle, who were "celebrating" the fact that Bliss regained her RAW Women's Championship last night.

Unsurprisingly, they were interrupted by Ronda Rousey, who took a beating at the hands of The Goddess on Sunday, just before she cashed in her MITB title shot.

Rousey flipped out on both Bliss and Angle, attacking them both, before being suspended for 30 days - so don't expect to see her again until the Extreme Rules PPV in July.

Following that, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre shocked the WWE Universe as Ziggler beat Seth Rollins for his Intercontinental Championship. But that wasn't even the main event of the night.

CLOSING THE SHOW

With Braun Strowman bringing the MITB briefcase back to RAW, Angle's hand was forced to announce that Brock Lesnar will be defending his Universal Championship again soon.

Although he didn't actually announce the date - it's pretty safe to bet that it will be on August 19 - at SummerSlam in Brooklyn.

So ahead of the biggest event of the year, a number one contender match has been made for Extreme Rules - and the winner of that will go on to face The Beast at SummerSlam.

Angle ensured that both Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns are already in the match - but the main event of last night's show saw Constable Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens take on Strowman and Finn Balor.

THE RESULT

That match was won, rather surprisingly actually, by Corbin and Owens. Many fans would expect "The Moster in the Bank" to be booked to look strong, but that didn't happen - and perhaps sets up a storyline that brings Corbin back into the title picture.

Despite losing the match, after the show went off the air, Strowman and Balor were able to get a little bit of revenge - and fun, at the expense of Owens.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER RAW WENT OFF AIR

Per Cageside Seats, after the show went dark, Corbin walked off backstage, leaving a beat up Owens in the ring with Strowman and Balor.

KO pleaded with The Monster to have mercy on him - and asked Strowman to reconsider the offer he made him on RAW - to become partners. Check out a video of the hilarious promo Owens cut below.

Braun was having none of it though, as he pointed at Finn to show that he already has someone to watch his back. That didn't sit well with Owens, who then tried a sneak attack.

This time, it was Strowman who looked strong, by countering the attack and hitting a powerslam, before Balor finished Owens off with the Coup de Gras.

Ouch. KO has already had a pretty rough week, and what happened following RAW will have just made everything even worse. Better luck next week Owens.
