So, England have finally got their World Cup campaign in Russia underway, and in typical England fashion, they didn't make it easy for themselves.

It all started so well with captain Harry Kane giving Gareth Southgate's side the lead inside 12 minutes, but Tunisia were rewarded a penalty after Kyle Walker was penalised for a flailing elbow.

With time running out, it looked like England's 2018 World Cup campaign was going to start the same way their Euro 2016 campaign did - a 1-1 draw.

However, cometh the hour, cometh the man and Kane, who was surprisingly left unmarked at the far post, headed home to give England the vital three points.

England now face Panama in Nizhny Novgorod on Sunday after their 2-1 victory, and already the questions are being asked about how they should line-up against the minnows from America.

The Three Lions will be expected to beat Panama, giving boss Southgate the option of making changes ahead of next week’s final Group G game against Belgium.

Here, Press Association Sport have taken a look at the possible changes Southgate could make.

Danny Rose In - Ashley Young Out

Wing-back Ashley Young struggled with his deliveries from open play and was overshadowed by Kieran Trippier on the right.

Fabian Delph could be an option having played at left-back for Manchester City last season, but Danny Rose would be more suited to England’s current system.

Marcus Rashford In - Raheem Sterling Out

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford offered a directness which England were missing after replacing Raheem Sterling, who spurned a golden first-half chance.

His second-half introduction helped the Three Lion keep the pressure on and gives Southgate a selection headache after Sterling’s wastefulness.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek In - Dele Alli Out

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli appeared to be carrying a thigh problem in the first half, but lasted until the 80th minute when Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced him.

The Chelsea youngster’s physicality caused Tunisia problems, and if Southgate wants to keep Alli fresh to face Belgium, Loftus-Cheek is an obvious option.

Gary Cahill In - Kyle Walker Out

Makeshift centre-back Kyle Walker never looked completely comfortable and conceded a sloppy penalty when he caught Fakhreddine Ben Youssef to allow Ferjani Sassi to level.

Southgate wants his defenders to play out from the back, which is why Walker is in a central three, but Gary Cahill could slot in for an easy change.
