The NBA Draft isn't too far away now, in fact, it takes place on June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. One of the most talked about players entering the draft has been Luka Doncic of Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old Slovakian already has an impressive resume, as the 6-7 combo guard became the youngest player to win the Liga ACB MVP, the EuroLeague MVP, and the EuroLeague Final Four MVP. He also won the EuroLeague Rising Star and Liga ACB Best Young Player awards for the second straight season.

Although he's not a great shooter or defender, he is a good playmaker, as he averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists in 25 minutes over 61 total games. It's unsurprising to hear then that one team in the top three picks of the draft is looking at taking him.

Hawks at three

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Atlanta Hawks are leaning toward taking Doncic with the third overall pick of the draft later this week.

With the Phoenix Suns reportedly set on taking Arizona's Deandre Ayton with the top overall pick, the Hawks will have to hope the Sacramento Kings pass on taking Doncic at number two so that they can take him at number three.

Don't pass

The youngster himself though has already set out a warning to any NBA teams that are thinking about passing up on him in this year's draft.

Doncic said: "Pick one to five, it will be amazing to be selected there, especially for a European guy.

"I need to show it on the court, because I need to prove it. I can see who made a mistake not drafting me. After my rookie season, I will see who made a mistake. I'm motivated to enter the draft. I'm excited to play in the NBA and play against these stars."

One NBA scout told NBA.com's David Aldridge that teams would be silly to pass up on the 19-year-old, as he thinks he's going to be a really good player.

The scout said: "If they use him the right way, it’s going to be real hard for him to fail. You put him in a ball screen, middle of the floor, with a good roller, it’s a really tough cover. Just the consensus I get is that people really like Doncic. They think he’s going to be a really good player."

We'll have to wait until later this week to see exactly where Doncic will be playing in the NBA next season.
