Big Cass is dominating the headlines this week, but it's for all the wrong reasons as the WWE officially announced on Tuesday that he has been released from his contract. The former NXT star was never held in high regard by the WWE Universe since his heel turn, and his situation wasn't helped by the fact that the WWE threw him into a feud with Daniel Bryan after he was moved to SmackDown LIVE in the Superstar Shake-up.

RELEASED

Despite that, it was thought that Cass' look is something that Vince McMahon would have liked as he's one of the few big men remaining on the main roster, but he perhaps ruined his chances of ever becoming a main event villain with his actions both on-screen and behind the scenes.

It seems as if all of his poor decisions accumulated into one crucial decision by Vince. As expected, WWE released a short statement confirming the news that he had been released, but fans were quick to point out something was missing from their post which suggests Big Cass must have done something terrible to annoy Vince and other higher-ups in the company.

It didn't take long for the fans to notice it, while several outlets were also quick to share the behind the scenes details of why Big Cass was released.

As you'll be able to see below, fans took to social media to point out that WWE usually posts something along the lines of, 'WWE wishes them well in their future endeavours,' which suggests they parted on good terms, or that the exit was mutual.

FUTURE ENDEAVOURS

In the case of Big Cass, though, that line is missing, prompting many to believe that Cass was fired by an angry Vince with both parties going their separate ways on bad terms.

Enzo Amore has taken a not-so-subtle jab at Cass since his release, while several stories have emerged stating why he's been released and based on the speculation going around, it comes as no surprise that WWE opted to not wish Big Cass well in his future endeavours.

Wrestle Votes has revealed that Big Cass rubbed somebody the wrong way backstage, while Sports Illustrated has since claimed that Big Cass was publicly intoxicated during the WWE's European tour.

However, the one story which is doing the rounds the most is that Big Cass went against Vince's orders when attacking the small Bryan impersonator on an episode of SmackDown LIVE. The plan was for him to hit the impersonator with only a Big Boot, but he went against Vince's orders and continued a beat down which saw him receive backstage heat.

With so much going on, it would have been more of a surprise had Big Cass received well wishes by WWE. Even CM Punk was wished well.
