There's been a lot of talk surrounding a potential UFC title unification bout between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley.

For a long time, "The Chosen One" had been ignoring the public challenges, threats and callouts that "Chaos" had been sending him.

But that appears to be something he can no longer do.

Following Covington's interim title win over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225, there's little chance that Woodley can avoid him for much longer - and a welterweight unification bout is on the horizon.

When it does happen, all the eyes of the MMA world will be on the Octagon - and many will be hoping that Woodley picks up the win.

That's because, throughout his rise to the top, Covington has made more enemies than he has friends, due to his controversial attitude.

One of the people that Chaos has rubbed the wrong way is fellow UFC star Jon Jones. Those two have been sparring on social media over the last year - and don't expect that to stop anytime soon.

But more recently, Jones has taken their beef one step further, by apparently offering his services to Woodley, ahead of the American's potential fight against Covington.

According to MMAFighting.com, "Bones" personally called Woodley following UFC 225 and offered to help him prepare for the bout.

"It funny because Jon doesn’t reach out to me very much," Woodley explained on The MMA Hour.

"Jon said, ‘Hey, whatever you need, brother. I want to help you."

Referencing their social media spat, The Chosen One revealed that he pleaded with Jones to stop offering Covington a platform.

"I told Jon, I said, ‘Man, you work so hard for your platform, from actually kicking ass and beating legends in their prime, and being one of the greatest fighters we’ve ever seen.

"Don’t give him your platform.’ Because he put a post up about him."

Woodley also explained that he finished their conversation by promising to beat Chaos in the cage, which is something that Jones was very happy to hear.

"I said, "I am going to kick his ass so bad, he’s gonna wish he was dead instead,'" he continued.

"'He’s going to try to find a way out.’ I said, ‘So don’t worry about it.’ The dude was like, ‘It can’t happen soon enough.'"

It's clear then, that both Jones and Woodley have serious problems with Covington - which is not surprising at all.

So expect to hear plenty more talk ahead of a potential unification fight, which if it happens, will be one of the most exciting bouts of the year.
