Vicki Sparks made history during Portugal vs Morocco match by becoming the first female to commentate on a live World Cup match - and she did a very good job.Sparks, alongside Martin Keown, talked us through the Group B clash at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on BBC One.Cristiano Ronaldo’s fourth-minute header gave Portugal an early lead.Morocco needed at least a point to save themselves from elimination but, despite having several chances and dominating the match, they couldn’t get it.It meant they became the first team to be officially eliminated from Russia - with Egypt hoping for a miracle to qualify. But back to Sparks. While we - and many football fans - thought she made her World Cup debut brilliant, some people appeared to have other ideas.

Step forward, John Terry.

He posted a video on his Instagram story of him watching the game with the writing: “Having to watch this game with no volume.”

Wow.

Later, Terry attempted to explain his Instagram by saying the audio on his TV wasn't working...

Unsurprisingly, Terry swiftly deleted his Instagram story but not before plenty of people screenshotted it.

Now, we can’t jump to conclusions and just assume Terry was talking about Sparks.

After all, Keown isn’t the most popular co-commentator going.

But Terry deleted his post for a reason. If it was because he didn’t like Keown, he probably would have just said…

If this is a case of sexism, then it won’t be the first incident we’ve seen at this World Cup.

After Eni Aluko made a brilliant point during ITV’s coverage, Patrice Evra gave her a little clap.

What is it with former footballers patronising females with football knowledge?

Pathetic.
