The expected return of this WWE star has been pushed back.

That star is Jason Jordan, who was previously teamed up with Chad Gable as American Alpha where the two were outstanding standouts in both NXT and on the main roster.

They picked up the NXT Tag Team Championships while in NXT and later on after they were drafted to SmackDown Live, they picked up with SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

After WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle was named the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW, he began a storyline in which he was being blackmailed with some personal information that was being threatened to be leaked out.

Following weeks of anticipation, Angle finally revealed the big secret that was being kept to the WWE Universe.

It turns out that Angle had an illegitimate son from a college relationship decades ago, and his son was none other than WWE Superstar and former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan.

Jordan was moved over to Raw to begin his singles career and also work alongside his father on Monday nights. As of late, it seems as though the WWE Universe hasn't responded well to Jordan's new character.

He was then paired with former WWE Champion Seth Rollins where they would go onto win the Raw Tag Team Champions. However, their run together was cut short as a result of this injury.

Jordan underwent successful surgery earlier year to repair a neck injury. The procedure Jordan underwent is called a minimally invasive posterior cervical microdiscectomy.

Moving along to the WWE Elimination Chamber PPV Pre-Show, WWE Hall of Famer and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle noted that Jason Jordan would be returning from injury to in-ring action shortly after WrestleMania 34, which obviously took place in early April and he was nowhere to be seen.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the former WWE Tag Team Champion now expected to return to action in July.

The longtime pro wrestling journalist did not elaborate exactly why his return is being pushed back but it could be due to him not being fully healed from his neck injuries.

WWE is advertising Jordan for the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view event and has him featured with several other top WWE superstars, which may indicate that the sports entertainment company may have big plans for him when he returns to action.
