After what seems like an eternity, Emre Can's transfer from Liverpool to Juventus was finally confirmed today. The German has been heavily expected to make the move since the turn of the year, after failing to reach an agreement with Liverpool over a new contract. And Can admitted that signing for the Italian giants is one of the biggest days of his life."It's really a wonderful day for me, one of the biggest days of my life," he said after putting pen to paper. "I'm very happy to be here."I see straight away how big the club is. Juventus is a club that wins titles and that's what I want and why we fit very well together."He's clearly ecstatic. And he has every right to be, judging by his contract.A Juventus statement read: “Emre Can has signed with the Bianconeri to officially join the club on July 1 2018 on a four-year deal.“As a result of the signature of the agreement, Juventus will incur additional costs of 16 million euros (£14million) to be paid over the next two financial years.”The Liverpool Echo reveal that figure - on top of wages of around £4million per season – is believed to be his signing-on fee.If so, that is absolutely outrageous. That's an incredible sum of money to pay a player. It's obvious to see why Jurgen Klopp was so reluctant to extend his contract.Understandably, Liverpool fans were stunned, with many expressing their astonishment that Juventus had decided to shell out so much money on the player.
