The Eagles incredible 44-32 victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII will live long in the memory of casual fans and in will remain ingrained in the minds of passionate Philly fans for a lifetime.

The iconic play from the win will always be the 'Philly Special' trick play on which Nick Foles caught a touchdown pass from backup TE Trey Burton.

And, the Eagles have found a pretty awesome way to commemorate that play so it lasts forever.

That comes in the form of their fresh Super Bowl rings.

The team received their rings Thursday, and they're as flashy as ever, but very few people pieced together the reference to the now-iconic play hidden in plain sight on the rings.

In fact, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had to explain a whole host of the details whilst before the team website revealed the awesome reference to Foles' big moment.

The bezel of the ring features a waterfall of 127 diamonds, paying tribute to the “Philly Special.” The 127 diamonds represent the sum of the jersey numbers of the three players who handled the football after the snap on the fourth-and-goal play at the 1-yard line. Running back Corey Clement, No. 30, took the direct snap, flipped the football to tight end Trey Burton, No. 88, who rolled right, and threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles, No. 9, for the touchdown.

The team's 'underdog' moto is also included on the side of the rings in one of the most innovative and fun designs seen in recent years.

“It was a fun process and it took waaaayyy more hours than I thought previously,” Lurie said. “I thought, ‘You know, you just sort of come up with some ring, and you make many, and you have a party.’ I never really thought of the details that were required.

"You go through so much during a season. What, when you’re looking back 20 years from now, do you want to have signified with that ring? What are the statements that you want to make about the team, about the season, about the kinds of players and coaches that we had? It’s kind of like, how do you want to be remembered 20 years from now?".

They are certainly going to be remembered for a long time, not only for the grandeur of the rings, but for the hidden meanings behind them alluding to what was one of the best Super Bowls of the modern era.
