Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Stephane Sessegnon is subject to interest from London rivals Tottenham and West Ham.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry Redknapp is monitoring the versatile Gabon international because of worries over his threadbare defence, although the Hammers are reportedly closest to making a formal offer.

The 26-year-old can operate as a holding midfielder, but prefers to work as a playmaker. He joined PSG in 2008 after two impressive seasons with Le Mans and guided the Parisians to the UEFA Cup quarter-final during his first season.

This prompted reported interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, and encouraged PSG to offer him a lucrative new contract.
