Brazil left it late against Costa Rica but, in the end, they got the job done thanks to two stoppage-time goals from Philippe Coutinho and Neymar. The South Americans huffed and puffed but couldn’t find a way past their resolute opponents until Coutinho poked through the legs of Keylor Navas in the 91st minute.Neymar then added gloss to the scoreline in the sixth minute of stoppage time with a close-range finish. That was Neymar’s 56th goal for Brazil; a remarkable achievement considering he’s still just 26 years old. Only Ronaldo (62) and Pele (77) have scored more goals for the Seleção.Neymar, aware of how important this victory was after Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw by Switzerland in their opener, was in floods of tears after the final whistle.Moments before his goal, however, the most expensive footballer of all time pulled off the best skill of the tournament so far.

Video: Neymar's skill v Costa Rica

Faced up against two Costa Rica players, Neymar produced a perfect rainbow flick over the head of substitute Yeltsin Tejeda. Watch it here…

And here's the reverse angle...

A truly magnificent piece of skill from an exceptional footballer. He wasn’t always at his best today but very few players - if any - are capable of producing moments of magic like that.

Football fans went crazy

Needless to say, football fans immediately took to social media after Neymar’s beautiful flick. Imagine even trying that in a World Cup match.

Neymar and his teammates finish their group stage against Serbia next Wednesday.

Tite’s men remain the favourites to lift the World Cup trophy on July 15. However, they will need to improve in the knockout stages in order to win the showpiece international tournament for a record-breaking sixth time.
