This WWE legend wasn’t a fan of beach balls.

During a recent edition of The Ross Report, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross called out the fan that brought a beach ball to the NXT TakeOver: Chicago II event last week.

You could make an argument that the Attitude Era in the WWE would not be the same without two WWE Hall of Famers.

Those WWE Legends are Ross and Jerry Lawler, who has called some of the most biggest and historic matches/segments in the history of the sports entertainment company.

They were featured on the Raw brand for the majority of their time with the WWE. It’s safe to say that they are if not the best commentary team ever put together by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

While Triple H got a bad wrap for marrying Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, when he was still an active wrestler, not many people thought that he would be in the position that he is now.

While it was believed that Triple H would be an executive in WWE, it was pretty much ruled out that he would be the guy in control of everything. Triple H even went on record by saying that he didn’t want to wear a tie and suit.

However, that all changed when McMahon pushed for his son-in-law to slowly but surely become someone he could lean on not only with creative but business related things.

Before NXT, which Triple H created, WWE had OVW and other developmental brands to get talents that they saw as draws ready for the big stage. At the time, the indie scene was a totally different place than it is right now.

Triple H believed that they needed to build within instead of reach out to other promotions and grab their talent. Thus, NXT was born, and later WWE created the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The NXT TakeOver: Chicago II event took place on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena and will air on the WWE Network. At the event, there were a few matches that that saw fans play with a beach ball.

As a result, Ross didn’t appreciate it and let his voice known. Here is what this legend had to say courtesy of WrestleZone.com:

“Whoever brought the damn beach ball and punted that around at the match should have their ass kicked. How can you be — ‘oh I’m a fan, I’m a real fan, I’ve got a tee shirt that’s got a wrestler’s picture on it.’ Yeah right. Why would you bring a beach ball to a live event unless you just needed the attention?

That you need to tell your buddies, ‘Hey you see that beach ball man? Hey dude, guess who brought it?’ No, you’re an idiot. So no more beach balls please….you disrespected the people in the match. That’s not the game. So, no more beach balls please and if you see a beach ball, stick a fork in it. Like [Gorilla] Monsoon would say, ‘It’s done.’”
