What now for Jack Wilshere?
The midfielder has announced he will be leaving Arsenal this summer with his contract coming to an end at the Emirates.
The England international appeared set to agree a reduced terms contract at the club but, after a chat with new boss Unai Emery, has now decided to leave his boyhood club.
He’s been linked with a move to Premier League clubs Wolves and Crystal Palace and appeared set to stay in England.
However, there’s now a European side offering Wilshere an escape.
According to The Sun, Italian giants Juventus have joined the race to sign him.
Juventus have already snapped up Emre Can on a free transfer and are interested in doing the same with Wilshere.
They’re believed to be willing to offer Wilshere £100,000-per-week and a package that will surely appeal to the 26-year-old.
Battling for the Serie A title compared to battling against relegation in the Premier League.
We can understand if Wilshere fancies a switch to Juve…
Despite his fitness problems, Arsenal fans will no doubt be gutted with Wilshere leaving the club.
GIROUD WAS "VERY SAD" TO HEAR THE NEWS
And his former teammate Olivier Giroud - who also left Arsenal in January - explained that he was “very sad” to hear Wilshere will be leaving as well.
“It’s big news and I’m very sad to hear it, because he’s a good friend,” said Giroud.
“Jack is a good lad, a very good player, very talented and it is a shame he has had so many injuries.
“But he came back well last season and it was good to see him on the pitch, enjoying his game and being strong.
“It’s a big loss and I hope he will bounce back as soon as possible at a good club.
“I wish him the very best because I appreciate him. I hope for him and his family he will bounce back.
“The new manager makes the decision and he has the responsibility for the team and the player.”
