The world of boxing is keenly waiting in anticipation of witnessing the mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder at some point later this year.Although, as things stand, it is very much likely that the bout will not come to fruition before early 2019 as negotiations continue between both camps.Ever since the brilliant win by Joshua against Joseph Parker in late March, to add another feather to his already impressive collection of titles by securing the WBO belt, with WBA [Super], IBF and IBO titles already in his possession, speculation started surfacing AJ would take on Wilder next.Wilder, currently holding the WBC heavyweight belt, prefers to host the fight in his homeland in USA, but Joshua, as well as his team, have maintained their stance on arranging the bout in UK.Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has been one of the key individuals to discuss logistics and terms with the Wilder camp and has often come under criticism from multiple sources for his methods of operating proceedings.Hearn’s vision of taking over the American boxing market after his recent billion dollar streaming deal with the Perform Group’s DAZN platform hasn’t gone down well with promoters like Lou DiBella and Richard Schaefer.Boxing advisors Shelly Finkel, Al Haymon and Luis De Cubas are some of the names who too aren’t in good camaraderie with the Brit.Wilder has now joined the list and for the first time has directly remarked against Hearn, branding him ‘A Snake’.The American ace was quoted saying: “Eddie [Hearn] is a manipulator, contradictor and compulsive liar. If anybody can't identify a snake, that's the one you practise on. All the things they've put me through, I can't wait. I'mma take Eddie's head and stick it on Joshua's body.”

The 39-year-old has replied to the comment by asking whether Wilder likes him apart from the assertions he has made.

It is not something new for Hearn to experience hostility towards him, as even in UK he isn’t a crowd favourite, which is evident from the reaction of fans during fight nights.

But that has not deterred him from working his way up the ladder in the boxing scene.

With the verbal exchanges and insults already in motion, it is only a matter of time till the mega showdown between two giants of the sport is announced in the upcoming months and that is when the actions really begins, both inside and outside the ring.
