British professional boxer Ohara Davies put on yet another brilliant show for the boxing faithful as he brutally knocked out Paul Kumanga at the O2 Arena on Saturday.Davies wrapped up proceedings inside two rounds to secure the WBC International Super-Lightweight Title and has now stringed together a three-match winning streak, after his loss to Josh Taylor in Glasgow nearly a year ago.Kumanga, who held the WBC belt coming into the fight, himself had experienced only one defeat alongside 21 wins in his pro career prior to his showdown against Davies. But, Davies took very little time to figure him out inside the iconic ring of the London arena and produced a sensational outing, completely outshining his counterpart. He went on the offensive right from the start of round two in search of a stoppage after engaging in a decent opening three minutes of the bout. With seconds left on the clock, the Hackney man used his skill set to perfection, as he made the ideal contact with Kumanga’s head with his right hand. The strike sent the Congolian face first on the canvas and he struggled to recover to stand on his feet as the referee counted him out, handing an emphatic win to Davies. The 26-year-old revealed he aims to take on tougher and bigger oppositions with Jack Catterall in his light of sight next.Watch the action unfold in the video below!

“I came into this fight quite nervous because I’ve not fought on TV for about seven months now,” Davies said.

“I’ve not had any time off and I’ve been working for this fight since the start of this year.

“I’m going to have a few days off now because I’m really pleased and I think I deserve it.

“I’m back from under the bus because Frank Warren gave me life, but Catterall’s next on my hitlist once he beats [Tyrone] McKenna quite easily like he should do.”

Catterall defends his WBO Intercontinental Super-Lightweight Title on June 30 against Tyrone McKenna.

The victory this weekend takes Davies’ record to 18 wins, with 14 of them coming in knockouts.
