Sunday was a good day to be English.Football took one step closer to coming home after the Three Lions positively thumped Panama 6-1 in the searing Russian sun in Nizhny Novgorod.Harry Kane was in sensational touch yet again, leading from the front by netting a hat-trick to take his tournament tally to five goals in just two games. It was a sparkling performance all round from the England lads as they sent out an ominous message to all the big boys that may have underestimated them pre-tournament.With Belgium on the horizon and having already secured a spot in the knock-out stages, Gareth Southgate and his team will be confident of topping their group. While England fans were confident of a big win beforehand, even they would have to admit that six goals and a treble from their captain was far more than they could’ve ever expected. However, for one England fan in particular, England’s win was a whole lot more than they had bargained for.Tweeting a day before the game, England fan Jess claimed that she would go as far as to get a John Stones tattoo should the towering defender score.Well, he only went and scored twice didn’t he.Jess might have been hoping that her promise from 24 hours earlier might just slip under the radar but the situation became a whole lot worse after Stones’ England teammate Kyle Walker picked up on the tweet.Walker simply tweeted two words in response to Jess and now there really is no going back.

Brilliant.

Looks like Jess will have to put her money where her mouth is - well, Kyle Walker’s money at least.

This England team really has been a breath of fresh air following on from the disasters of 2014 and 2016.

They seem to have a great relationship with the fans and are actually jolly good fun to watch.

Who would have thought?

Go on lads, bring it home.
