Similar to Formula One, there has been no dearth of drama in the Formula Two too, as this weekend concluded the fifth round of the season at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France.Trident Racing driver Arjun Maini finished 10th in the Feature Race – over 90 seconds adrift winner George Russell of ART Grand Prix and 13th in the Sprint Race – over 59 seconds behind winner Nyck de Vries in his Pertamina Prema Theodore Racing car.The Indian driver stole to limelight earlier in the day, however, by producing a remarkable rant over the team radio. He qualified in 17th, nearly three tenths slower than his Trident teammate Santino Ferrucci.Shortly after the race ended, Maini was heard on the team radio saying: “I swear you guys don't support me at all. I do everything every ****ing session!“You can't do this to me, mate! I have no ****ing power out of the corner, why doesn't anybody ****ing believe me?”Later, the 20-year-old disclosed that the comments were towards the series organisers and claimed he was just frustrated at the lack of engine power at his disposal.

“All weekend we lost almost 7km/h down the straight, and we had a problem in free practice,” Maini added.

“They said there was a pipe that was melting, we replaced it for qualifying and it melted again. I had no straight-line speed again compared to my team-mate or anybody else.

“They said they fixed the problem, Race 1 I had no straight-line speed again, and now we have to check the data but [in Race 2] I had no straight-line speed again."

“I think a few others had the same issue as me, and some of the engines are pulling like crazy. They say it's a one-make championship but it's not a one-make championship. It's a joke, what's going on in this championship right now.”

Maini has amassed 23 points, placed at 14th in the Drivers’ championship while his team, the Italian outfit Trident Racing are second to bottom at 9th with a total of 27 points with seven round still to go till the end of the campaign.
