Cody Rhodes has proven to names in the wrestling business that it's more than possible to succeed outside of WWE.Granted, not everybody that leaves WWE or chooses not to sign for the biggest promotion on the planet is guaranteed to become a household name on the independent circuit.

ALL IN

However, the former Intercontinental Champion has taken great strides in opening the doors for others to follow in his footsteps and create some serious waves outside of Vince McMahon's company.

Now, The American Nightmare has done something - alongside The Young Bucks - which many didn't think was possible.

The All In event is going to take place this September, and some huge names have been announced already, like Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.

CM Punk is continuously being linked with an appearance, and although he's still contracted to WWE right now, some fans think Daniel Bryan might end up on the show in Chicago too.

Naturally, it's thought that this move has WWE sweating as this event marks the first non-WWE event in the US to sell 10,000 tickets in almost 25 years.

To combat the success of this, it's thought that Vince and Triple H will be looking to sign some of the biggest names from the independent circuit if they are aware of All In.

When one fan asked the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer about possible tactics WWE could use that weekend, such as handing out flyers, Meltzer claimed that WWE can't do much to counter the All In event as the tickets are sold and even signing and pulling stars from the show might not work.

CHEAP SHOT

Then, Cody chimed in with what many are believing is a dig at The Game.

He tweeted: "That's a possibility. Everybody has different goals. If your goal is to take a meet/greet style handshake photo, and pretend to be excited about going back to wrestling school...that's your prerogative ha."

According to Wrestling Inc, the 'meet and greet handshake photo' comment is in reference to the countless times Triple H has posed for a photo with stars that join the WWE.

We also see similar pictures surfacing after those said stars move to the main roster or win a championship.

They added that Cody seems to be insinuating that once the photos have been taken, the new WWE stars are whisked away from The Game like they're a fan queuing up in a meet and greet line at Axxess, along with labelling the WWE's Performance Center as a wrestling school.

Although he didn't call anyone by their names, it's evident who he is talking about in that scenario.

While he can't be blamed for venting frustrations if the WWE does try to step in, perhaps burning any bridges isn't the wisest of moves.
