Georges St-Pierre may still be recovering from ulcerative colitis, but that hasn't stopped other UFC fighters from calling him out. He last stepped foot in the Octagon in November 2017, when he beat Michael Bisping to become the middleweight champion. However, GSP had to vacate the title through just 34 days after winning it - and hasn't returned since.

CALLED OUT BY KEVIN LEE

Despite being sidelined, he's expected to make a return to the sport - and has recently been called out by lightweight Kevin Lee.

In fact, he's done more than call out GSP, as he's been pushing for the establishment of a 165-pound division for a while.

Now though, he believes a fight against St-Pierre would be the perfect way to establish it.

"I think me and Georges for the 165lb title makes the most amount of sense," Lee said, per Bloody Elbow.

“You do Conor [McGregor] and Khabib [Nurmagomedov] in October, you do me and Georges in November, at Madison Square Garden.”

WHY LEE IS PUSHING FOR IT

"The Motown Phenom" has been pushing for the fight because he's been struggling to make the weight at 155lbs, recently weighing-in two lbs heavier than Edson Barboza in April.

He did win that by TKO in the fifth round - but Lee's latest fight offer has caught the attention of others within the UFC.

AL IAQUINTA RESPONDS

One of those people who have seen Lee's offer is fellow lightweight Al Iaquinta.

And it's fair to say he's not impressed with what he's hearing.

"Can’t make 155 so instead of jumping in the 170 pool GUY thinks he deserves his own weight class and belt HA HA HA," Iaquinta tweeted, quoting Lee's callout.

"Ragin Al" clearly isn't very impressed with his rival - and that's understandable. However, they may not actually be rivals for too much longer.

Iaquinta is currently unhappy with things in UFC - and especially president Dana White.

That's because the boss wants to change weigh-ins back to the afternoon, which many fighters, including 31-year-old Iaquinta, are against.

Expect that - and Lee's offer to GSP, to continue to make headlines - as the build-up to the Canadian's return rolls on.
