In a quick turn of events, Shinsuke Nakamura was deemed unable to compete against Jeff Hardy this evening on Smackdown Live.Carmella and AJ Styles were also not going to be present as they toured Australia ahead of the big show in the fall. However, new number one contender for Styles' WWE Championship Rusev could begin to build momentum ahead of his match at Extreme Rules in three weeks time. Also, will we begin to see the fallout between Daniel Bryan and The Bludgeon Brothers after their attack last week. Here are all the results from Smackdown Live:MIZ TV WITH THE BLUDGEON BROTHERSThe Miz opened the show and summoned Daniel Bryan's newest enemies, The Bludgeon Brothers. The Miz went on a rant about how they have a common enemy and how Bryan disrespected them last week by entering the Gauntlet Match as Harper and Rowan were leaving their match.Bryan entered the arena and told The Miz to shut up, before challenging any one of the three men to a match. It seemed as though Harper accepted the challenge for later in the evening.

Rating - 4/10

It was good seeing that The Bludgeon Brothers won't just make friends with The Miz because they have a mutual enemy. The Miz carried the segment on the microphone wonderfully and he really spoke about some good points. The match between Harper and Bryan will be brilliant later on and it is a good tease before Bryan eventually gets a tag team title shot with a partner.

XAVIER WOODS VS RUSEV

Aiden English introduced Rusev with a heel introduction this week. Kofi Kingston launched pancakes whilst English was singing. Rusev began the match strongly by using his brute strength to powerbomb Woods into the canvas.

Xavier Woods brought out his best offence possible including the brilliant flying DDT put was only able to pick up a two-count. Woods hit a Superkick but Rusev got a Samoan Drop on Woods in a good back and forth sequence.

Eventually, after a fast-paced conclusion, Rusev hit the Machka Kick and then locked in The Accolade for a submission victory. After the win, Rusev grabs the microphone and told WWE Champion AJ Styles to be worried.

Rating - 7/10

Two of the best and most underrated in-ring workers on Smackdown Live went head to head and put on a short but good match. It was extremely fluid and both men sold for each other very well. Rusev rightly got the victory and his post-match promo was filled with fire and intensity. It suited his character perfectly although fans are still dying to see him turn face. The crowd was split with chants for Styles and Rusev, showing how popular The Bulgarian Brute is.

JEFF HARDY VS ERIC YOUNG

The leader of SAnitY answered Hardy's open challenge, accompanied by Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe.

The match was a good standard despite the one glaringly botched Twist of Fate from Hardy before it ended in disqualification. The Usos appeared through the timekeeper's area and began an assault on Dain and Wolfe at ringside before Young saved his friends. Hardy and The Usos cleared the ring of SAnitY to end the segment before...

THE USOS AND JEFF HARDY VS SANITY

General Manager Paige made the matchup during the advert break, turning a US title match into a six-man tag match. For the first time on Smackdown Live, we saw Young, Dain and Wolfe in action.

Young denied Hardy an opportunity to get into the ring by pulling him off the apron. Jey Uso eventually got to his brother Jimmy and produced a brilliant hot-tag segment on Wolfe. He then went flying over the top rope to take out Young and Dain before tagging in Hardy who won the match for his team after a graceful Swanton Bomb.

Rating - 8/10

The first match was at a very high standard and was evident these two had battled before. They were used to each other since they battled in Impact regularly. The Usos just walking ringside through the timekeeper's area did not make any real sense. SAnitY would have gained more heat by attacking Hardy and having The Usos run in for the save. The six-man tag match was brilliant too, great chemistry all around. The Usos are great in the ring but slightly overuse the superkick. It was a shame to see SAnitY lose their first match in WWE but they can eat a loss, especially with Wolfe taking the pin.

BECKY LYNCH VS SONYA DEVILLE

Deville's entrance is very unique and still fun to watch as the strobe lights flicker whilst Deville shadow boxes. Lynch was tossed into the barricade and on the receiving end of submission holds and also a spinebuster. The Muay Thai style from Deville is different to most on Smackdown and it makes her unique.

Lynch got a big crowd reaction as she began her comeback sequence, including her Bexploder Suplex. A distraction from Mandy Rose at ringside almost put Lynch off her game but she tripped Deville into her friend and quickly moved into the Disarmher for the win.

Rating - 6/10

I really enjoy both of these women on Smackdown Live, citing them as some of the best workers on the roster. Deville is always improving and Lynch is so popular with the crowd that she needs a main event feud soon. Lynch's winning streak continues and keeps her momentum going.

JAMES ELLSWORTH DECLARES HIMSELF BETTER THAN ASUKA

Ellsworth hit the ring and said he was back and easily better than Asuka. He said Asuka was not worthy for Carmella. GM Paige then interrupted Ellsworth and said that Asuka will have a rematch with Carmella at Extreme Rules and that Ellsworth will face The Empress of Tomorrow next week on Smackdown.

Rating - 3/10

Pretty much what it says on the tin. It was humourous when Ellsworth thought Paige wanted to date him though.

DANIEL BRYAN VS HARPER

Having two 10+ year veterans in the main event of Smackdown guaranteed good things. These two worked wonderfully well together as Harper implemented his heel tactics to wear down Bryan. Bryan's suicide dive was a little sloppy as Harper caught him and awkwardly threw on top of the announce table - then gave him a big boot for good measure.

Bryan tried to pick up the pace but Harper planted him with a big slam and continued the slow working down of The Bearded Goat. A Michinoku Driver was still not enough to put Bryan away.

A leaping DDT from the top rope gave Bryan some hope and he rallied with the crowd behind him as he executed the Yes! kicks and got Harper into The Yes Lock. The hold was in but Rowan broke it up, causing the disqualification.

Rowan and Harper were about to continue their beat down on Bryan but the save was made by... Kane! The Big Red Machine came to the ring and cleared up, hitting a chokeslam and then embracing in a hug with Bryan in the center of the ring.

Paige came out to end the show and declare they had a championship opportunity at Extreme Rules.

Rating - 9/10

What a surprise! Nobody expected Kane to reappear, despite everyone thinking Bryan was going to get a tag partner at some point. The match was actually brilliant too, Harper and Bryan have a great dynamic with the big vs small battle extremely interesting. Bryan worked the underdog stereotype perfectly too. The DQ ending was suitable here as the shock return left the fans going home happy.
