20 years ago today, The Undertaker and Mick Foley (well, Mankind), wrestled perhaps the most infamous match in WWE history.

At King of the Ring on June 28, 1998, the pair met for a Hell in a Cell match - and what followed will be remembered by pro-wrestling fans forever.

In fact, it was such an iconic match that plenty of other superstars have tried to recreate some of their huge spots - some have been successful, others not so.

But for now, we're focussing on everything that's been good about one of WWE's most brutal matches.

So on the 20th anniversary of The Phenom and Mankind's epic match, here are the 10 greatest Hell in a Cell moments in WWE history.

10) Roman Reigns spears Bray Wyatt through a table

In October 2015, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt ended their epic long-running feud inside the cell.

The biggest moment in that match came when The Big Dog speared The Eater of Worlds from the ring apron and through a table.

Following that, Reigns picked up the win but it may have been Wyatt who had the last laugh, as weeks before he'd introduced the world to Braun Strowman.

9) The Undertaker Chokeslams Edge off a ladder, sending him through the ring

HIAC offered a fitting end to another long feud back in 2008 when Edge and 'Taker met at SummerSlam.

Their match was full of exciting moments and big spots, but none better than the one that finished the match.

Standing on top of two ladders in the centre of the ring, The Phenom quite literally Chokeslammed Edge to hell, not only sending him to the canvas, but straight through it.

8) Mick Foley is sent through the cell roof by Triple H

Two years after his epic match with The Undertaker in 1998, Foley took on Triple H in what was billed as his retirement match.

The Hardcore Legend attempted to piledrive The Game on top of the cell, but HHH was able to reverse the move, sending Foley falling to the ring.

Unlike two years before, this spot was completely planned - hence its lower place on this list. But we'll come to the other infamous moment very soon.

7) The Undertaker Chokeslams Rikishi off of the Cell

Along with Foley, 'Taker's name will be appearing a few more times on this list. But his involvement in a HIAC at Armageddon 2000 is well worth a mention.

It was the first and only six-man cell match in WWE history - and the most exciting moment saw Undertaker Chokeslam Rikishi off the cell roof.

It's not as bad as it sounds though, as Rikishi landed on a hay truck that Vince McMahon had conveniently parked by the cell door whilst trying to knock it down.

Still, though, it was an epic spot that definitely still would have hurt.

6) Shawn Michael is sent through the announce table in the first ever HIAC match

'Taker vs Mankind may be the most iconic HIAC match, but it wasn't the first.

Before that, it was Shawn Michaels who had the honour - if you can call it that, of facing 'Taker in a cell.

After fighting everywhere - in the cage, outside of the cage, on top of the cage, The Deadman ended everything by throwing Michaels off the side of it.

In what was the first ever big HIAC spot, The Heartbreak Kid fell through the announce table, before suffering even more of a beating.

5) Kane's debut in the first ever HIAC match

At Badd Blood in 1997, Kane made his WWF debut by interrupting the same match mentioned above.

Paul Bearer accompanied him to the ring before 'Taker's brother literally ripped the cell door off and hit his sibling with Tombstone Piledriver.

His actions sparked a rivalry that would last well over a decade and introduced the world to one of wrestling's best gimmicks.

4) Triple H and Shawn Michaels end their rivalry at HIAC

The battle between HHH and Michaels could well have been the best cell match in history - if Foley's and 'Taker's wasn't so memorable.

The pair spent over 45 minutes beating the life out of each other, in a true Attitude Era style bout - as the Bad Blood PPV lived up to its name.

This match ended their two-year rivalry and there were so many great spots that it would be impossible to even try and mention all of them.

But the highlight has to be The Showstopper elbow dropping The King of Kings through a table - from the top of a ladder.

3) Shane McMahon jumps off the cell at WrestleMania 32

Fighting for his stake in the WWE business, Shane McMahon agreed to a HIAC match at WrestleMania 32 - against, you guessed it, The Undertaker.

Their match lasted half an hour, and Shane O'Mac spent most of that on the receiving end of 'Taker's offense.

However, the biggest spot of the show came when Shane set up his opponent on the announce table, before climbing to the top of the cell.

After looking over the edge, he dusted himself off - and got ready to jump.

Leading with his elbow, he flew 20 feet down and crashed through the table, a split second after 'Taker rolled out the way.

It was the biggest HIAC spot of recent times - and that's why it's ranked so high on the list.

2) The Undertaker sends Mankind through the announce table from the top of the cell

There's no way this wasn't going to make the list. In the second biggest moment from their classic in 1998, 'Taker threw Foley off the top of the cell and onto the announce table.

The spot triggered Jim Ross to shout his now infamous line: "Good god almighty! Good god almighty! That killed him! As god as my witness, he is broken in half!"

Foley was stretched away as fans and The Phenom looked on in disbelief. But moments later, he returned and climbed to the top of the cage.

I think we all know what happened next.

1) Mick Foley falls through the cell roof

Here we are. The most memorable moment in HIAC, or perhaps even WWE history.

We all know the story. When The Undertaker Chokeslammed Foley on top of the cell, it was not supposed to break.

But it did and Foley fell straight through onto the ring. Somehow though, he managed to walk away with minimal injuries.

Once again, JR's commentary became famous, as he shouted "Good God... Good God! Will somebody stop the damn match? Enough's enough!"

But no one stopped the match. Foley carried on with a dislocated jaw and the feud ended as planned.

After Mankind was slammed onto a pile of thumbtacks, 'Taker picked him up one more time and ended it all with a Tombstone Piledriver.

That moment - and the entire match will go down in history. Not just as the greatest HIAC moment, but perhaps the greatest match ever.
