In a turn of events not many fans expected, Kane returned on SmackDown LIVE earlier this week to effectively reform Team Hell No with Daniel Bryan.

After his underwhelming feud with the now-released Big Cass came to an end, Bryan was strangely placed into a feud with The Bludgeon Brothers, the SmackDown tag team champions.

RETURN

Naturally, fans knew that the WWE was going to give Bryan a partner - with names like Samoa Joe and even The Miz speculated by fans as potential 'odd' partners for the former general manager of the blue brand.

In the end, The Big Red Machine returned to fend off Harper and Rowan, before Paige interrupted the emotional scenes inside of the ring to announce that Team Hell No will get an opportunity at the tag team titles at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Funnily enough, Bryan battled Kane at the 2014 edition of the same pay-per-view, before being forced to vacate the titles to undergo neck surgery.

Now, though, Bryan can help Kane create history four years later in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania next month.

Reddit user 'LuckyGood0' brought to light the fact that should Team Hell No emerge victorious and leave with the SmackDown tag team titles, then it means Kane is going to become the first man to achieve a rare feat.

TAG TEAM TITLES

A win for Bryan and Kane means Kane will become the first man to have held the World, WCW, WWE/RAW and SmackDown tag team titles.

A win would also mark tag title reign number 13 in WWE.

Currently at 12 reigns, he's second behind Edge at 14 when it comes to all-time tag team title reigns for individuals in the company.

Not only that, but Kane has also holds the distinction of having tag team title reigns with the most amount of partners at seven.

Throughout his legendary career in WWE, he's captured tag team championships with The Undertaker, The Big Show, X-Pac, Rob Van Dam, Mankind, The Hurricane as well as Bryan.

Although the WCW tag team title reign will have an asterisk placed next to it as it was won when WWE was in charge of those belts, there's no denying just how durable Kane has been throughout his career.

However, as amazing as it would be to see Kane create even more history in WWE, fans aren't expecting it to happen.

There hasn't been a great deal of excitement so far, with many expecting Kane to turn on Bryan - again - before another singles feud begins for Bryan.
