Although a lot of fans have mixed feelings about it, it seems a certainty that it will be Triple H who takes over from Vince McMahon once the latter steps aside.

Over the years, The Game has been given more and more responsibility.

TAKING OVER...SLOWLY

Perhaps his biggest success in WWE so far is that he turned NXT from a gimmick, competition-based show to a so-called developmental brand that regularly competes with Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE.

With Vince's focus inevitably falling on his revived XFL project, it's resulted in Triple H receiving a much bigger role behind the scenes.

One of those is steering the once-sinking ship known as the cruiserweight division.

With Vince focusing on the character aspect of the 205 Live stars, Triple H ditched that approach and instead concentrate on the in-ring abilities.

This is what made the Cruiserweight Classic so appealing, and much of the credit fell on Triple H's shoulders after the huge success.

Now, Triple H has made another massive decision on Monday Night RAW which a lot of the fans might love - especially those that want The Cerebral Assassin to save the cruiserweight division.

CRUISERWEIGHTS

According to PW Insider, Triple H has personally made the call to take all cruiserweight stars off RAW moving forward.

The reason for this big move is that Triple H doesn't want the entertaining cruiserweight stars to become overexposed and wants to make sure that they are protected by only appearing on 205 Live, the cruiserweight-dedicated show.

The long-term goal for Triple H is that he wants 205 Live to back on the road as standalone shows, rather than just becoming sideshows to the main roster.

Clearly, turning 205 Live into a massive success isn't going to happen overnight.

On a weekly basis, however, we're hearing more and more positive stories about the work that's happening on 205 Live, primarily revolving around the likes of Mustafa Ali and even Buddy Murphy.

This is a change that the majority of fans will welcome, especially those that don't want the cruiserweight division to fail.

By featuring the cruiserweight stars more and more on a three-hour RAW where fans already get tired, it doesn't give them an incentive to tune into 205 Live and watch the exciting action.

Again, it's going to take some time before the show possibly becomes the success Triple H wants it to be, but it's undoubtedly the best decision to not overexpose them.
