Ipswich manager Roy Keane has confirmed that striker Pablo Counago is close to sealing a move to Crystal Palace.

The Spaniard is out of favour at Portman Road and could link up with his former manager George Burley at Selhurst Park - where the two sides meet on Saturday.

Keane said: "Pablo is in talks with Crystal Palace and there is a chance that could go through on Friday."

He said: "They are looking at a year's loan but he obviously won't be able to play against us on Saturday."
