Teenage defender Sean Morrison could make his first start of the season against Brentford as Swindon boss Danny Wilson looks to solve his side's defensive problems.

The Robins have shipped six goals in their opening three games in all competitions this season and are struggling to find a settled line-up at the back following skipper Gordon Greer's move to Brighton in the summer.

Morrison, 19, could replace Lescinel Jean-Francois or Scott Cuthbert at the heart of an inexperienced Robins defence.

"This could be the time when Sean can throw a few markers down for himself," Wilson told BBC Wiltshire.

"After us conceding goals I think anybody would say 'right, I'm going to roll my sleeves up now and make the manager take notice, I want to be in in contention for Saturday'."

Goalkeeper David Lucas shook off a thigh strain to face Hartlepool last week and will retain his place between the posts, while striker Vincent Pericard is available after recovering from a bruised knee.

Brentford have injury doubts over Carl Cort and Sam Wood.

Striker Cort is close to recovering from the Achilles injury which has kept him sidelined since pre-season and will be handed a late check.

Winger Wood suffered a knock to his back in last Saturday's home defeat by Walsall and was unable to train during the early part of the week.

Wood was deputising on the left for Myles Weston, who was on the bench following a groin problem but managed to play the final half an hour and should be involved again.

Boss Andy Scott could add midfielder Nick Adams to the squad after he completed his move from Leicester on Thursday.

Striker Kirk Hudson is still struggling with a groin problem and will have to wait a little longer to make his debut.
