Accrington boss John Coleman will hand a late fitness test to Craig Lindfield ahead of the visit of Macclesfield.

The injury-hit forward missed the opening day clash against Aldershot with a knock and limped out of last week's draw at Northampton with a recurrence of his knee injury.

Fellow striker Rory Boulding is a doubt after missing the last two games with an Achilles problem picked up in the Shots encounter.

Leam Richardson could feature after signing a new one-year contract. The versatile midfielder was originally offered a pay-as-you-play deal by boss John Coleman.

Stanley are still looking for their first league goal of the season after successive 0-0 draws.

Macclesfield midfielder Hamza Bencherif is pushing for a starting berth.

Bencherif has made two appearances this season but has yet to start a league game as he recovers from a long-term ankle injury sustained last term.

However, he is now edging closer to being 100% fit and is in full training.

Fellow midfielder Ross Draper played for the reserves in midweek after injury and may come into contention for his first appearance of the season.

Defender Paul Morgan (wrist) is back in training but a week or so away from a return and striker Ricky Sappleton (knee) remains sidelined for another three weeks.

Midfielder Richard Butcher is out for up to a month with medial ligament damage.
