Neymar really does love making the headlines regardless whether they are positive or negative.Brazil's talisman was up to his usual tricks again in the Selecao's last-16 victory against Mexico, with Tite's side winning 2-0.The PSG forward was man-of-the-match, grabbing a goal and an assist, however, he simply couldn't resist some pathetic theatrics.Neymar and Mexico's Miguel Layun were having a bit of a go at each other ever since the latter came on.Firstly, Layun was picked up by cameras actually lifting Neymar on the turf after he believed him to be feigning injury. Then, things took a darker turn when Layun appeared to step on Neymar following another altercation on the touchline. He certainly knew what he was doing, but the Brazilian's reaction was ridiculous. You can watch the footage below.

It was a surprise that Layun didn't even pick up a yellow card from the referee or from the VAR review.

Neymar's reaction may have had something to do with it as the Brazilian was criticised from all four corners of the world for his actions.

And Layun has now reacted to the incident, with ESPN's Mexican national team journalist Tom Marshall publishing his quotes on Twitter.

The former Watford man said: "If he doesn’t want to be touched then he should do something else ... If he wants to be on the floor he should go lie down in his house.”

Fair play Miguel, fair play.

Layun was evidently in the wrong for his actions, but Neymar certainly needed putting in his place.

Let's just hope the PSG man doesn't display yet more theatrics in the latter rounds of the World Cup.

Or if he does, that he finally receives some kind of punishment.
