Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are finally set to meet inside the ring for the second time later this year on September 15 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After their first fight ended in a controversial 12-round draw, both fighters wanted a rematch, and it was originally scheduled to take place in May earlier this year.

However, due to Alvarez' suspension, the fight was initially cancelled, but now it has been rearranged for September later this year.

It was confirmed as well that both boxers would not physically come face to face with each other until the fight week, but this hasn't stopped them from throwing jabs at each other already.

Triple G doesn't have any respect for Canelo because of the fact he failed two drug tests. He and his team later accused the Mexican of being a longtime user of performance-enhancing drugs, even making allegations that he may have been using PEDs in their first contest.

No Respect

During a Facebook Live press conference earlier this week promoting their upcoming fight, Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo's promoter, stated that the Mexican doesn't have any respect for the unified WBA (Super), WBC, and IBO middleweight champion.

Canelo made it clear that he no longer has any respect for Golovkin because of those comments by the Kazakhstani and his team, and the Golden Boy promoter agrees with his client.

De La Hoya said, via Golden Boy Promotions: "Well, that's exactly what a fighter needs, and that's exactly why this fight is going to be such a great fight.

"Like Canelo said, the little respect they had for each other is out the window, and when you're a fighter and you have no respect for your opponent, magic happens.

"Magic takes place inside the ring. You train harder in the gym. You run extra miles. You assure yourself that you're in tiptop shape but more importantly it's mental, the mental aspect of it is at its highest level.

"That's why I think that these bullfighters are going to be in tiptop shape come September 15 and we will see an amazing fight."

Neither fighter is going to be taking it easy on September 15, which should make it a very exciting clash.
