Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the verge of a shock move to Juventus.

Rumours of Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid have been circulating ever since the club's Champions League final victory over Liverpool back in May.

Despite later telling supporters that he would see them 'next year,' he fired the rumour mill into the life by noting: "It has been very nice playing at Real Madrid.

"In the coming days I'll give an answer to my fans, they've always been at my side. The future of any one Real Madrid player isn't important."

And after his World Cup exit, the speculation has taken a remarkable twist with Real Madrid now considering an offer from Juventus for arguably their greatest player.

Real considering Ronaldo bid

Rumours were rife that Ronaldo's release clause had been drastically decreased from €1 billion to €100 million, an alteration confirmed by Spanish publication Marca.

It's also a figure that Juventus have sought to match by placing a €100 million that now - according to BBC Sport - is being discussed at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo is believed to be demanding an improved deal at Real Madrid in order to receive the same pay as Lionel Messi and Neymar but has grown frustrated with negotiations.

Juventus contact speaks out

And although rumours of a Ronaldo exit are seemingly an annual occurrence, telling information is continuing to roll in and now a Juventus contact has spoken out on the issue.

Former Juventus CEO Luciano Moggi has spoken to important people at the club and appears to have dropped a bombshell about the Ronaldo rumours.

Speaking to Italian TV network Tele7Gold, he explained: "In my opinion, he has already signed and passed the medical examination with Juventus in Munich.

"This is what I think after talking to important people."

Wow, wow, wow.

While there is no official confirmation that Ronaldo underwent a medical in Bavaria, Moggi's comments seem rather definitive.

Juventus fans can start to expect an announcement about Ronaldo soon if Moggi is telling the truth.

Seeing the 33-year-old pulling on the Juventus jersey would seem a strange sight after almost a decade with Real Madrid but perhaps change is in order at this time of his career.

That's not to mention the connection between the club and player during their Champions League quarter-final last season.

After scoring his famous bicycle kick, the five-time Ballon d'Or was given a standing ovation by supporters to which Ronaldo showed his gratitude.

That could be an occurrence happening far more often going forward.
