If WWE fans were told that Woken Matt Hardy would debut in WWE long before he returned, they wouldn't have expected what's currently happening on Monday Night RAW.

Woken Matt has since formed an alliance with Bray Wyatt after their Ultimate Deletion match, and they're now the RAW Tag Team Champions.

WOKEN GIMMICK

However, fans know that they're just not connecting with the audience whereas Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel of The B Team are getting better reactions on a weekly basis.

So, it comes as no surprise that rumours emerged this week of The Deleters of Worlds potentially dropping their gold at SummerSlam against Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain.

It's evident that fans want the Woken gimmick of old; the gimmick which dominated headlines and forced the WWE to take action and bring back The Hardy Boyz, which they did at WrestleMania 33.

One of the most popular ways to fix that, however, would be to bring Jeff Hardy into the fold.

Understandably, that's more difficult now as he's on SmackDown LIVE following the Superstar Shake-up and is also the United States Champion.

However, Matt believes that - despite his Charismatic Enigma gimmick being popular - he needs to debut Brother Nero in WWE for the longevity of his career, per Wrestling Inc.

BROTHER NERO = LONGEVITY

When speaking to The Philly Voice, he said: "I didn't know [if Jeff would join him and Matt after returning from injury].

"Those types of things are obviously over my head. I would love to have Jeff involved.

"Jeff is totally fine being on his own as the 'Charismatic Enigma' Jeff Hardy. He's totally fine being Brother Nero. I think Brother Nero would be good for him for career longevity.

"But I think Jeff can go to SmackDown and be amazing and be the 'Charismatic Enigma,' and he can do everything he can do in that persona, and if we need to utilise him as Brother Nero, we can do that whenever."

Longevity could be an issue for someone like Jeff.

It's not all about his character becoming stale, as he's one of the rare stars that can manage to remain over because of his exciting he is to watch.

Bringing Brother Nero into the fold means he can probably take a step back from the ring, or even turn his style down a notch to protect his body.

He's still suffering from two injuries - a leg injury during his entrance and a nerve issue resulting in numbness in his fingers - so it could be wise to alter his character.

If he is to take time off television to heal up, returning as Brother Nero might be the way to go.
