There's been a lot of talk of having dream matches recently, especially in 2018 because of several factors. There's the Daniel Bryan situation and the possibility of him not signing a new contract.

DREAM MATCHES

The WWE is running with the idea that he isn't going to stick around, and it's why we're seeing some strong dream matches featuring the former SmackDown LIVE general manager.

He's already faced off against AJ Styles and Samoa Joe - even Shinsuke Nakamura in a dark match.

So, that means he could be featured in even more in the coming months.

Then there's Kenny Omega and comments he made recently.

If he was to sign with WWE, he claimed that Seth Rollins and The Phenomenal One would be his ideal opponents.

Now, it's Jeff Hardy's turn to tease who he'd want to face.

A United States Championship dream match against The King of Strong Style already seems to be on the cards for Extreme Rules, but the Charismatic Enigma has his sights set on somebody else - a Monday Night RAW star.

As you'll be able to see in the tweet below, fans can't contain their excitement as a face-painted Hardy quietly looked up to tease a match against Finn Balor.

THE DEMON KING

In particular, the Demon King.

We haven't seen the Demon King on WWE television for quite a while, as the last time he featured on programming was during his underwhelming feud with Bray Wyatt.

That's something even the Irishman hasn't praised in interviews.

The good thing about the gimmick not featuring regularly is that WWE isn't overexposing it.

Back on NXT, it came out for every TakeOver event, and it was something extraordinary; it added a whole new element to the match or feud he was involved in.

It was also the focal point - along with the Universal Championship - during his feud with Seth Rollins at his SummerSlam debut.

Fans can't be blamed for assuming Balor is slightly dull on the red brand right now, even more so as he's feuding with Constable Baron Corbin right now.

If the right opponent is there, perhaps WWE could bring the gimmick back.

What makes it difficult, however, is that they're on opposing brand.

Still, Hardy has succeeded - the fans are talking about the dream match.
