England take on Sweden on Saturday afternoon in what will be their biggest match since the 2006 World Cup finals. The Three Lions will seal their place in a World Cup semi-final for the first time since 1990 if they defeat the Swedes in Samara.Gareth Southgate’s side head into the match as favourites after their penalty shoot-out victory over Colombia earlier this week. However, Southgate is refusing to underestimate Sweden, who booked their place in the last eight after a 1-0 victory over Sweden."I'd have liked a week to enjoy this one but haven't got that because Sweden are a team I respect hugely,” Southgate was quoted as saying by the Independent earlier this week. "We've not got a good record against them, I think we've always underestimated them."They have good plans, they have a clear way of playing - and it's bloody difficult to play against."They are greater than the sum of their parts more often than not, so that is a hugely difficult game for us."

Zlatan sends tweet to Beckham

Sweden have exceeded expectations this summer without their former talisman, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The general consensus is that Ibrahimovic’s absence has helped Sweden perform better as a team - and it’s hard to argue with that assessment after watching the performances of Janne Andersson’s side over the past couple of weeks.

However, Zlatan is still trying his best to stay relevant. With less than 24 hours to go before kick-off, Ibra sent former England captain a message on Twitter - and it’s going viral.

“Yo @davidbeckham,” Zlatan began, “if @England wins I buy you dinner where ever you want in the world, but if Sweden wins you buy me what ever I want from @IKEASverige ok?”

That’s a pretty tempting wager, David.

Either one is likely to cost a fortune. Beckham presumably has expensive taste when it comes to food while you can be certain that Zlatan would order that most expensive thing that Ikea has to offer if his nation progress to the semi-finals.

Within half-hour of being posted, Zlatan’s offer had already racked up over 4,000 retweets and more than 12,000 ‘likes’.

It surely won’t be long before Beckham gets back to the LA Galaxy forward.
