Belgium are into the World Cup semi-final.Roberto Martinez's side will meet fellow European nation France after beating tournament favourites Brazil 2-1 in Kazan. An own goal from Fernandinho and a stunner from Kevin De Bruyne put them in pole-position, but Brazil came back in the second-half with their full force. There were numerous penalty shouts on Neymar and Gabriel Jesus, but they were all turned away by the referee and VAR.Renato Augusto scored late on, but Belgium held out.And a lot of that was down to a wonderful save from Thibaut Courtois in injury-time from a superbly hit shot from Neymar.Chelsea's number one somehow managed to tip the ball over the bar when it looked a certain goal.Of course, as soon as the save was made, Twitter instantly brought up Courtois' past comments on England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.Courtois had previously referenced the Everton man's height and the general consensus was that it was an insult. However, the Belgian shot-stopper cleared everything up in his post-match interview with some very respectable words.Good lad, Thibaut.

He says: "I never mocked Pickford’s height, I would never mock another goalkeeper’s height. I just wanted to make that clear."

A real nice touch, particularly after the biggest game of his young career.

The Belgians will now be the joint favourites for the tournament with France, in what could be one of the great semi-final's.

England, Sweden, Croatia or Russia would wait in the final and you'd be a fool to not think that it could finally be the time for the Red Devils' 'Golden Generation'.
