GiveMeSport is excited to announce we will be covering the 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final held in London on August 2-4.

The finale of the 14th edition of the prestigious e-sports tournament, organised by FIFA in conjunction with EA Sports, will take place at the O2 - and GiveMeSport will be there to cover all the action as players battle it out for a chance to win a record top prize of $250,000.

The competition lands in the English capital for the second time in as many years, but the move from Central Hall in Westminster to the larger and more prestigious 02 speaks to the substantial growth in the popularity of the tournament - much to the delight of championship organisers.

"Competitive FIFA gaming has experienced fantastic growth in both viewership and participation over the last few years," said FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer Philippe Le Floc’h.

"The FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final will gather the best FIFA 18 players from around the world in one place. London will provide a great location for this tournament. FIFA and our partner EA SPORTS look forward to welcoming fans to this thrilling event.”

Twenty million players from 60 countries entered this year's competition, with qualifying matches attracting a combined 30 million views across social media.

Ultimately, though, just 32 players (16 PlayStation 4, 16 Xbox One) have earned the right to show off their skills in London.

England's Spencer Ealing claimed victory in last year's final - and the man known as "FaZe Gorilla" is back to defend his championship.

Ealing advanced to the final following an incredible 13-5 victory in the knockout phase - and is joined by fellow countryman "I Crafty95 I" in the tournament finale.

The hometown representation will, however, be dwarfed by the German contingent heading to London.

No less than eight German players have qualified for the final - proving far more successful than their real-life countrymen in Russia.

In total, players from 19 countries will be present at the final.

The three-day finale promises to be a thrilling occasion and GiveMeSport is proud to be able to bring you every significant kick of championship as we discover who will take home the life-changing top prize.
