Dirk Kuyt's agent says that Liverpool are still discussing the Dutchman's future with Inter Milan.

Earlier this week IMScouting revealed that the Reds had rejected an offer of £7.5 million plus Nigeria forward Victor Obina - who has a transfer value of around £7 million - for the 30-year-old.

However, former Anfield boss Rafa Benitez is still hopeful he can broker a deal to bring the striker-cum-midfielder to the San Siro, and the World Cup finalist's representative has revealed that talks between the two clubs are still ongoing.

"The two clubs continue to talk, but things are moving slowly," Rob Jansen told Sky Sports.

"The difference between demand and offer is important. It is something between the clubs but Dirk told Liverpool he no longer wants to be involved as this is something that regards his career and life.

"It doesn't mean he wants to leave at all costs, but when a club like Inter comes along it's normal to look into the situation further."

An improved deal worth in excess of £15 million is thought to be on the table for the ex-Feyenoord hitman, and the Nerazzuri are desperate for a deal to be concluded before the transfer window closes next week.
