The position of long snapper is not the most glamorous of all in the NFL. In fact, it's one of the most forgettable.

Often, the only duties that these players need to carry out come ahead of kicking plays.

THE JOB

They usually have to snap the ball around 15 yards during punts, or between seven and eight yards when a kicker is attempting a field goal or PAT.

Although it's not a memorable role, long snappers are very important to the game.

Just like everyone else on the team, these players will have been training throughout the offseason - and one snapper, in particular, has been having a little bit of fun too.

Reid Ferguson, the Buffalo Bills LS, has been showing off his accuracy in a special way, by posting a video of trick snaps on social media.

FERGUSON'S TRICKSHOTS

The 24-year-old uploaded clips of him snapping the football three times, hitting different objects with each.

Check out his insane accuracy below - in one of the shots, he even hits a frisbee that's falling through the air! Epic.

After showcasing his perfect accuracy during the offseason, Ferguson will be hoping he can do his part to help the Bills in 2018.

Because next season, they'll be hoping to go a few steps further than they did in 2017.

BILLS IN 2017

Last year was actually Buffalo's best finish since 1999 - as they ended an 18-year playoff drought.

Still, though, they only finished second in the AFC East and scraped through to the post-season on the final week of 2017.

Their Super Bowl dream was then pretty much over before it began too, as the Bills suffered defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wildcard round of the playoffs.

Sean McDermott's team were beaten 10-3 at EverBank Field, meaning the last time they won a playoff game is still way back in 1995.

Despite the loss, things are looking up in Buffalo.

HOPES FOR 2018

With the domination we've seen from the New England Patriots in recent years, it's always going to be a tough ask for the Bills to win their division.

But after finishing 2017 with a positive regular season record for the first time since 2014, hopes will be high in Buffalo.

And luckily, if any of their games come down to an important punt, PAT or field goal in 2018, the Bills can count on their LS, Ferguson, to deliver a perfect ball.
