It now seems that the negativity surrounding Brock Lesnar is finally outweighing the positives of his second stint in WWE.

As soon as his familiar music blared the PA system on the infamous episode of Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania, fans were ecstatic.

NEGATIVITY

Although there had been some questionable booking decisions - such as losing to John Cena clean upon his return - it quickly showed that WWE's most prominent investment was going to remain an integral part of WWE programming.

That showed when Lesnar destroyed Cena, when he conquered The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania as well as his current run where no man on the red brand can seem to snatch the Universal Championship from his hands.

However, fans now can't wait to see him drop the championship - and one of the moments that sticks out the most for all of the wrong reasons was his underwhelming WrestleMania 32 encounter against Dean Ambrose.

It was a no holds barred street fight. It was against The Lunatic Fringe. It was the perfect concoction for a crazy, destructive encounter that would live long in the memory.

Sadly, it flopped, and Ambrose criticised Lesnar when he spoke to Stone Cold Steve Austin by claiming that Lesnar was lazy as he didn't want to do anything artistically.

However, Mike Johnson of PW Insider has revealed just why it ended up being a colossal failure, as well as the risk of it possibly happening again when he returns to the WWE to defend the Universal Championship.

SECRET TRAINING

According to WrestlingNews.co, Johnson pointed out that Lesnar intentionally played things safe for his match against Ambrose at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas because he was secretly preparing for his return to the Octagon at UFC 200.

At the time, the return hadn't been announced, but The Beast knew he was going to go back and fight.

To avoid the risk of getting injured, he reportedly made the decision not to risk doing anything extreme that could jeopardise his big-money return.

As fans know, Lesnar is set to return to the UFC where he will be eligible to compete next year.

Based on that, the assumption or expectation is that Lesnar could do the same - avoid risking anything upon his WWE return, so his huge-money clash against Daniel Cormier goes ahead as planned.

Considering Lesnar's next match is reportedly going to see him drop the title, perhaps the only memorable moment will be the star that ends up dethroning him to take RAW in a new direction.
