Chelsea have been in turmoil in the past few weeks.
It is no secret that the club have been lining up a move for Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte, but a move for the former Napoli manager has not yet materialised.
But it seems that could change very shortly as Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, revealed this morning that Sarri is close to sealing a move to Stamford Bridge.
“The Sarri deal is in the homestretch, it depends on him," De Laurentiis said. “I’ve laid down my conditions. It’s all in the hands of lawyers."
And Napoli's president also revealed that moving to Stamford Bridge alongside Sarri will be Italian midfielder, Jorginho.
Jorginho was set to move to Manchester City, but it seems Chelsea have won the race for his signature.
"Jorginho? We said to ourselves, ‘if Jorginho has any requests, we’ll take them into account’", he continued.
“For that, I’ll have to apologise to Manchester City. However, if the player would rather live in London than Manchester, I can understand that.
“If Chelsea are paying him even more, I can understand that too. Jorginho and Sarri together again? Jorginho would go to Chelsea regardless of Sarri.”
Chelsea fans can now finally look forward to the new season with their managerial situation close to being resolved.
But who will Sarri target this summer?
The Mirror claim that Chelsea are also set to make moves for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, 22, and Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, 23.
Rugani is set to cost somewhere around the £35 million mark, and if they are to get their man, will help solidify the centre of Chelsea's defence.
Golovin impressed for Russia in this summer's World Cup and will also be a worthy addition in midfield.
It may have been a stressful time to be a Chelsea fan in recent months, but fans of the west London club can now look to next season with optimism.
Chelsea struggled to a fifth place finish last season and will be itching to get back into the Champions League as soon as possible.
If Sarri were to complete moves for Golovin and Rugani, Chelsea could well be Premier League title challengers again this season.
