WWE fans will always get a buzz from the possibility of The Rock stepping into a WWE ring once more for another match.

The People's Champion hasn't had a match with the company since he faced off against Erick Rowan in an impromptu match at WrestleMania 32, which went down as the quickest WrestleMania match in history after The Rock defeated Rowan in just six seconds.

Prior to that, The Great One's last major feud in the WWE was when he faced off against John Cena in not one, but two WrestleMania main events in WrestleMania 28 (which he won) and WrestleMania 29 (which he lost).

So while The Rock hasn't had a major WWE feud in a couple of years now, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of stepping foot inside the WWE ring once more to work with the company again.

During an interview with Cathy Kelley to promote his upcoming movie Skyscraper, The Rock was asked about a possible WWE return.

Can't wait to get back

The People's Champion said that he can't wait to get back in a WWE ring because there's nothing else like it when you're in that ring, whether it be to cut a promo or to have a match.

He said, via Daily DDT: “I can’t wait to get back into the WWE ring.

He continued: "Everybody always asks me, ‘what’s it like being in a WWE ring?’ I always tell them there’s nothing like it. There’s a certain live crowd acumen, there’s great connective tissue that’s second to none.

"That was, and will always be the best part of my job, whether I’m actually wrestling a match, or just giving a promo. That connection with the audience, there’s nothing like it.”

Unfortunately, The Great One didn't say exactly when he would be back in a WWE ring, but hopefully he is able to come back and work with the company again soon in whatever capacity.

Whether that be a full out feud, to an impromptu match, to simply cutting a promo in the middle of the ring, WWE fans would be very appreciative just to see The Rock inside a WWE ring once more.
