Cristiano Ronaldo is officially a Juventus player.

After nine trophy-laden years at Real Madrid, scoring 450 goals in just 438 games, the Portuguese superstar has decided to open up an exciting new chapter in his career.

His mission will surely be to lift both the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or with three separate teams and in three different countries.

Should he do that, he'll gain a significant advantage in his bid to be recognised as the greatest player of his generation, ahead of Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo has signed a four-year deal in Turin and is set to earn around £500,000-a-week, four times the amount of the second highest paid player at Juve.

And he was presented with his customary number seven shirt, with Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado having to surrender the jersey.

Ronaldo's 'CR7' brand was always going to land him the shirt and Cuadrado has sent his new teammate a classy message about it on Instagram.

CLASSY CUADRADO

The caption reads: "It is more blessed to give than to receive; blessings 🙏🏾Panita @cristiano in this new adventure 💪🏾💪🏾 # finoallafine # forzajuve🏳️🏴"

A real nice touch.

Cuadrado's place in the team could be under serious threat due to the arrival of Ronaldo.

Manager Max Allegri is unlikely to drop either of Paulo Dybala or Douglas Costa in the forward areas.

Then you have the likes of Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain competing with Cuadrado as well, although both have been linked with moves away.

Ronaldo will be the first name on the team sheet and his agent Jorge Mendes also confirmed in an interview that Juventus will be the last chapter in his career.

"I'm very happy for Cristiano," Mendes told Sport. "Juventus will be his last club and I'm glad he made this decision. With this team he'll close out his marvellous career."
