WWE has done some amazing things for their women's divison over the years, but things could be about to go up a level later this year if reports are to be believed.

Whether it be expanding the women's to allow more superstars to compete, to adding a title for both Raw and SmackDown, to main eventing WWE pay-per-views, the women's division has taken great strides over the years towards matching the love the men's division receives.

WWE has even continued to make progress for the women's division over the past 12 months or so with the creation of the Mae Young Classic tournament, to the first-ever women's Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble matches.

Earlier this year though, WWE did receive a lot of criticism when it was revealed that the women's division would not be able to compete at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

However, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the company has a plan up its sleeve to make it up to their women’s roster.

All Women PPV

Ryan Satin has reported that WWE is planning to hold an all women's PPV or Network special later in 2018 and that it is “seriously being discussed” for “late September or early October”.

Due to the fact that details of the event haven't been set in stone yet, it's unclear if this show would be limited to the women on the main roster, or if stars of NXT and legends of the past would be able to compete as well.

As we have seen earlier this year with the Greatest Royal Rumble though, WWE can put the wheels in motion towards bringing back some stars from the past once it is booked, as well as pushing NXT talent and bringing in indie stars for a one-show deal.

There is so much which the WWE can do on this show as well. They could host the Mae Young Classic final here, as well as use the PPV as a platform to further push storylines, such Sasha Banks vs Bayley, or start feuds for the future, such as the Four Horsewomen rivalry.

If booked, this PPV is another great step in the right direction for WWE and their women's revolution, and it can only lead to bigger and better things for the women's division in the future.
