In a promotional event allegedly due to take place between September 30 and October 5 at Kiev's Fairmont Grand Hotel, two boxing greats will 'square up' against each in an exhibition bout. According to the WBC, former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis will step into the ring against his friend and retired former world heavyweight master Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko.  The match-up is due to take place during the WBC's annual convention which will be held in Ukraine's capital, Kiev.Apart from being a showpiece, the bout is supposed to be a charity fundraiser for the Ukrainian's many charitable works. However, a day after the event was announced, Briton Lennox Lewis dismissed the notion as inaccurate and highly unlikley to happen. The 52-year old contacted the WBC to inform them that he hasn't made any plans to get back in the ring for the exhibition fight. Klitshcko has alluded to the possible charity bout with Lewis, a staged rematch of their classic 2003 fight, but Lewis set the record straight by suggesting nothing was set in stone. Lewis defeated Klitschko on that night after a cut to the Ukrainian's eye was deep enough to warrant the referee to stop the fight. It's been well documented since that Klitschko wasn't happy with the decision, and was desperate for a rematch against his old foe.

However, despite promising one to the fallen heavyweight, Lewis vs Klitschko 2.0 never took place, with the meetings between the pair being unsuccessful.

So it appears the rematch isn't actually booked in the calendar.

However, what is booked in the calendar is a Lennox Lewis speaking engagement.

The open and honest Q&A session, 'Undisputed: An Evening With Lennox Lewis' takes place at London's O2 on September 6, 2018.

Billed as an intimate, moderated evening to discuss Lewis' illustrious career and highlight many of the behind the scenes backstories to some of his biggest fights.
