Daniel Bryan might be sticking around after all.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has taken full advantage of being back full-time as a WWE star.

The former WWE Champion has been an underdog for his entire career. From his days on the independent scene to when he arrived in WWE.

Although the company wasn’t fully behind him at first, he has overcome the challenges that were put in front of him and became a fan favorite.

Bryan was forced to retire two years ago due to his history with concussions had talked about wrestling again in the past.

Despite that his run on top in WWE was short-lived, he no doubt made a mark on the history of the sports entertainment company.

After fighting for his dream to once again wrestle again in the ring under the banner of the sports entertainment company, it finally came true earlier this year when it was revealed that Bryan had been cleared to return to in-ring action.

Fast forward, Bryan teamed up with SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Tag Team Match at the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company, WrestleMania 34, earlier this month in New Orleans. Bryan and McMahon won the match.

Since then, Bryan has been working matches on SmackDown Live and WWE’s latest pay-per-view events.

Now, to the good stuff as WWE is advertising Bryan for an upcoming SmackDown Live TV event in Detroit, Michigan at the Little Caesars Arena on September 4th.

For those who may not know, this is a few days after his contract with the WWE expires.

Thus, this has led to speculation that he is close to signing a new deal. The promotional material reads like this:

“See your favorite superstars live in action for the first SmackDown Live at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, September 4 at 7:45 p.m.

The roster will feature a Six Man Tag Team Match with AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan & Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz & Samoa Joe and a SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Asuka and Carmella. The roster also includes Charlotte Flair, New Day and more. Card is subject to change.”

Bryan is slated to team up with Kane to challenge Luke Harper and Erick Rowan for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena that will air on the WWE Network.
