Tyson Fury's comeback will continue on August 18th when he takes on Italian fighter Francesco Pianeta.

It will be the heavyweight's first fight since defeating Sefer Seferi last month in four rounds.

That fight wasn't the best received by fans - Fury had showboated in earlier rounds, with the fight even pausing as two fans had their own in the crowd.

Fury had also gone into the fight a massive 66 pounds heavier than Seferi, drawing criticism that it wasn't much of a contest at all.

It was, however, Fury's first fight in over two years - since he defeated Wladimir Klitschko for four heavyweight titles in November 2015.

Having gotten back into the swing of things, no matter how uncompetitive the fight, Fury now moves on to Pianeta.

And upon the announcement of the fight, Frank Warren was sure to get across that this was a tougher fight for Fury.

“The Seferi fight is history and Pianeta is a far better operator than him,” said Warren. “His level of opposition tells you that."

Pianeta certainly has fought at levels above Seferi, including a world title fight against Wladimir Klitschko when he was an undefeated fighter in 2013.

And Warren was also clear on why Pianeta was the right fighter for Fury at this stage.

"Tyson had been out of boxing for a long time and Pianeta is a good opponent for what is Tyson’s second fight back after his break," Warren explained.

“Tyson had a short rest after Seferi but is back in full-time camp ready for this challenge in Belfast.

"He needs rounds under his belt before moving on to the next level and this fight will do that and make him work for his win.”

They'll have to hope so - if Fury's goal is to one day challenge for world-level gold, he needs to start testing himself.

Hopefully, Pianeta can do just that.
